ChainML is a Chainlink BUILD partner focused on bringing AI and Machine Learning (ML) tools in a censorship-resistant and tamper-proof way.
ChainML is a protocol developing a tamper-proof way for decentralized computation, extending the power of blockchains for Web3 applications.
The primary objective of ChainML is to enable the seamless integration of AI/ML technologies into smart contracts, dApps, and wallets.
So far Web3 projects using AI and ML have been stuck by mainly using centralised cloud services like AWS. This method compromises smartcontracts by providing unsafe and unproven data.
The solution:
Leverage decentralised datalakes like SpaceandTime.
Make smartcontracts use oracle networks for computation.
This way ChainML is able to provide AI and ML tools to smartcontracts without compromising what Web3 stands for.
The ability to provide AI/ML to smartcontracts has numerous use cases, like risk modelling, personalised recommendations, content creation, etc.
Like any buzzword that comes up, the crypto industry has been trying to claim "AI meets crypto" for some months now.
It's important to remember that any input to a smartcontract needs to come from a decentralised and tamper-proof environment. If not the whole purpose of the smartcontract is defeated. AI 🤝 Web3 is coming but it's not immediate.
