Chainlink is launching a badge program to let users know that Chainlink powers a Web3 App with services like proof-of-reserves.

Chainlink offers multiple services, from data feeds to proof of reserves, but until now, from the dApp there was no way to know if the Web3 app you were using was powered by Chainlink or not.

Now dapps using Chainlink can claim a badge that will mark that they are using Chainlink (aka if the oracle services are secure to use or not). And the best news is that dApps won't be able to fake it by paying 8 LINK per month ;)

Here is an example with PoundToken where they PROOF their real-time proof-of-reserves.

The badge links to the oracle feed so anyone can easily dive deep into the feed.

Now when using a dApp you'll be able to check if it's up to your standards or not. Will you trust a dApp that uses unreliable oracle services, or that doesn't have proof of reserves?
